Obexion FR is powered by the Akkugrain® compound. It attacks all three pillars of the fire triangle (heat, oxygen and fuel) to quickly contain and extinguish lithium battery fires.
In the past, first responders have needed to rely on dirt, sand, or vermiculite to mitigate battery fires. However, unlike Obexion FR, none of these solutions are proven to remove toxic gases, prevent batteries from re-igniting, or are scalable to handle multiple lithium batteries (special permit coming soon).
 
The Obexion FR System works quickly; in most cases, it has been shown to mitigate thermal runaway until there’s no detection of heat within 30 minutes or less.
Lithium-ion batteries packed in Obexion FR material will remain in a stable state — so they can be safely transported and shipped.
