Lithium battery fires are notoriously difficult to extinguish and present a number of risks. Many first responders have had to rely on dirt, sand, and vermiculite to mitigate these battery fires. The Science Behind Obexion FR
STEP 1 - HEAT
Enabled by the AkkuGrain® compound to disrupt all three pillars of the fire triangle (heat, oxygen and fuel), Obexion FR quickly contains and extinguishes lithium battery fires.
STEP 2 - OXYGEN
It then actively works to isolate the thermal runaway, pushing oxygen away from the battery cathode and preventing oxygen from returning.

STEP 3 - FUEL
Lastly, Obexion FR serves as a barrier that prevents other parts of the battery from igniting, removing the fuel.
